Upper respiratory infections

The symptoms of upper respiratory infections are infections of the nose, throat, paranasal sinuses or larynx, such as the common cold, sore throat (pharyngitis), tonsilitis, sinusitis, and laryngitis.

Upper respiratory infections are treated by lowering the tension of smooth muscles, bronchi and walls of small blood vessels, and enhancing mucus secretion in the bronchis.
