The leaves are harvested before blooming and dried in natural conditions. The fruit are harvested when ripe and black together with the receptacle and dried in drying rooms in 40-60° C.

Pimpinella anisum, syn. Anisum vulgare – Aniseed, anise, anix Apiaceae (Umbelliferae) – Celery family (Umbellifers) The raw material is the aniseed fruit – Anisi fructus and the aniseed oil – Anisi oleum. The fruits are harvested when they are greenish-grey and dried in natural conditions.
Archangelica officinalis – Garden angelica, wild celery Apiaceae – Celery family Garden angelica provides the following: Radix Angelicae – angelica root, harvested in the autumn or spring in the first year of vegetation; Fructus Angelicae – angelica fruit; Folium Angelicae – angelica leaf, used only in folk medicine. The wild angelica Angelica silvestris L., common in Poland, has the same uses as garden angelica but is much less effective.
Silybum marianum (L.) Gaertn. (Carduus marianus L. )– Milk thistle Asteraceae (Compositae) – Aster family (composite) The raw material is the ripe fruit, without the pappus.
Melissa officinalis L. – Melissa Lamiaceae (Labiatae) – Mint family The raw material is the melissa leaf and the leafy shoot tip, harvested from non-flowering plants, dried quickly in the shade, in max. 35° C.
Hypericum perforatum L. – St. John's wort Clusiaceae (Hypericaceae) family The raw material is the shoot tip, harvested at the start of the blooming and dried in natural conditions, shaded and ventilated, or in drying rooms in max. 40° C.
Origanum vulgare – Oregano, pot marjoram Labiatae – Mint family The raw material is the oregano herb – Herba Origani and oregano oil – Origani oleum. The herb is harvested at the start of blooming (by cutting leafy, blooming shoot tips) and dried in natural conditions. The oil is obtained from the dried or fresh herb through steam distillation.
Achilllea millefolium – Common yarrow Asteraceae (formerly Compositae) – Aster family, formerly composite The parts used in medicine include the yarrow herb – Millefolii herba, the yarrow flower – Millefolii flos and the yarrow leaf – Millefolii folium. The herb and flower are harvested at the start of blooming and dried in natural conditions or in drying rooms in max. 35° C. The leaves are harvested from June to September and dried in natural conditions.
Coriandrum sativum – Coriander, cilantro Apiaceae (formerly Umbelliferae) – Celery family The part used in medicine is the coriander fruit – Coriandri fructus and the coriander oil isolated from it. It is harvested when the fruits in the first row of umbels start to brown. The entire plants are cut and threshed after drying.
