Motion sickness, kinetosis, or travel sickness is symptomised by nausea and vomiting, caused by passive swaying movements while travelling. The symptoms include discomfort in the stomach, paleness, sweating, increased salivation, depression, nausea, vomiting, apathy, loss of appetite and sometimes a lack of will to live. The Latin word nausea originates from the Greek naus, meaning a ship. Motion sickness treatments counteract its symptoms.
